On a weekly basis you should regenerate you machines water softener to help prevent scale build up and costly call outs!

| FIG. 1 | Softener in normal use |
| FIG. 2 | Place tube *E* in a bucket and tube *F* in sink or drain. Turn valves *C* & *D* to the right approx. 2 pints of water will be expelled under pressure. Slacken nut *G* remove bridge and top cover taking care not to drop inside canister. Add 1kg (approx. 2 pint measures) of granular salt to canister and replace top cover. |

NOT OVER TIGHTEN

| FIG. 3 | Turn valve *C* to the left, water will run into softener and flush salty solution from tube *F* into drain |
| FIG. 4 | After 30 minutes approx. taste water from softener to ensure it is no longer salty. If salty taste remains, allow water to continue running, and taste again. When water is free of salt turn valve *D* to the left. |
