Draught Beer Dispense - Problem Solving Ideas

We all suffer from problems, but wouldn't it be nice if we could solve them by ourselves on the odd occasion. Well we are here to help, with the table below we have listed the most common dispense problems licensees find, and our advice to possibly solving them.

Fobbing & warm beer

-Cooler switched off

-Check plug/check fuse in plug/check cooler setting

Fobbing but cold beer

-Yeast infection in lines
-Gas problem (empty bottle/switched off)
-Out of date keg

-Clean lines
-Check bottle level & connection
-Check date on keg & change if required

Flat beer

-Yeast infection in lines
-Gas problem (empty bottle/switched off)
-Out of date keg
-Glass contamination

-Clean lines
-Check bottle level & connection
-Check date on keg & change if required
-Check glass washer & chemicals

No dispense

-Kinked pipe
-Fob float not released
-Empty keg
-Keg connector not pushed down
-Gas problem (empty bottle/switched off)
-Gas pump turned off
-Cooler coil frozen (tends to happen after line cleaning)

-Un-kink pipe - may require replacement
-Check float release button pressed
-Check & change keg if required
-Check & rectify
-Check bottle level & connection
-Check & rectify
-Turn off cooler, leave for 1-2hours then test dispense again
